So let&#8217;s start at the beginning.     <\/p>\n<h2>What is Google Ads?<\/h2>\n<p>Google Ads is a program that allows businesses to run ads on Google search results pages, websites and YouTube videos. The program is managed by Google, which means that businesses can be confident that their ads will be shown to potential customers who are interested in what they are selling. <\/p>\n<h3>How does Google Advertising work?<\/h3>\n<p>Companies create advertising campaigns on the <a href=\"https:\/\/inprofit.eu\/paid-media\/google-advertising-publicidad-digital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Google Advertising<\/a> platform, based on their campaign objectives, as they can target specific audiences.<\/p>\n<p>For example, a company that sells winter coats could create a Google Ads campaign targeting people in cold climates searching for &#8220;winter coats.&#8221; When someone searches for that term on Google, the company&#8217;s ad could appear on the search results page. <\/p>\n<p>And this is possible because Google Ads works on a bidding system. Companies set a budget for their campaign and then bid on the keywords they want to target. Google will then use an algorithm, called Ad Rank, to decide which ads to show and in what order.  <\/p>\n<p>Ad Rank is based on three factors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bid amount: If a company bids more for a keyword, it will have a higher Ad Rank than companies that bid less.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Quality Score: is a measure of the quality and relevance of a company&#8217;s ad. Google takes into account factors such as click-through rate (CTR) and the relevance of the ad for the keyword it is targeting. The higher the quality score, the higher the Ad Rank.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Landing Page Experience: is a measure of the relevance and usefulness of the landing page (the page users are taken to when they click on an ad) to users. The higher the landing page experience, the higher the Ad Rank. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Why should you use Google Ads?<\/h3>\n<p>There are several reasons why you should use Google Ads for your business. First, it&#8217;s an effective way to reach potential customers who are interested in what you sell, as Google Ads are seen by an average of over a billion people every day. Second, it&#8217;s a way to get your message to people who might not be familiar with your brand. And third, it&#8217;s a relatively inexpensive way to advertise, especially when compared to other forms of advertising (the average cost per click (CPC) for Google Ads is $0.50).<\/p>\n<h2>Types of advertising campaigns in Google Ads<\/h2>\n<p>There are four main types of Google Ads advertising campaigns:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Search Ads: Appear on Google search results pages and are the most common type of Google Ads campaign.<\/li>\n<li>Display ads: Appear on websites that are part of the Google Display Network and can take the form of text, images or videos.<\/li>\n<li>Video ads: They appear in YouTube videos and can be skippable or non-skippable.<\/li>\n<li>Shopping ads: These appear on Google search results pages and show the products sold by companies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Want ads: features<\/h3>\n<p>Search ads are the most common type of Google Ads campaign and can be very effective in reaching potential customers. There are three main characteristics of search ads: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keywords: Companies choose keywords that they believe potential customers will use when searching for their products or services. For example, a company that sells winter coats might choose the keyword &#8220;winter coats&#8221;. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ad groups: companies can group similar keywords into ad groups. This helps to organize and manage the campaign more efficiently. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Match types: companies can choose to what extent they want their keywords to match the terms that potential customers use in their searches. For example, they can choose to show their ads only when people search for an exact word or phrase (exact match), or when people search for a word or phrase that includes their keyword (broad match). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Display ads: features<\/h3>\n<p>Display ads are the second most common type of campaign because of the versatility they offer in both <strong>brand awareness and performance campaigns<\/strong>. There are three main characteristics of display ads: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Image ads: businesses can choose to display image ads on websites that are part of the Google Display Network. They can be static or animated and can include a call to action (CTA), such as &#8220;click-through&#8221;. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Rich media ads: these are more interactive than image ads and can include elements such as video, audio or games.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Text ads: businesses can also choose to display text-based ads on websites that are part of the Google Display Network. They are usually less intrusive than image ads or multimedia ads. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Video advertisements: characteristics<\/h3>\n<p>Video ads are another type of Google Ads campaign. There are two main types of video ads: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>TrueView ads: these are skippable ads that appear before, during or after YouTube videos. They can last up to 30 seconds and companies only pay when users watch them for at least 30 seconds (or the entire ad), or when they interact with the ad, for example by clicking on a call to action. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Bumper ads: These are non-skippable ads that appear before YouTube videos. They can last up to six seconds and companies pay each time someone watches them. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Shoppig ads: characteristics<\/h3>\n<p>Shopping ads are the fourth type of Google Ads campaign. They appear on Google search results pages and allow businesses to showcase the products they sell. Shopping ads have three main features:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Images: companies can choose to display up to eight images of their products in their advertisements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Price: companies can indicate the price of their products in their advertisements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Product information: companies can include additional information about their products, such as product name, description and availability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The main advantages of using Google Ads?<\/h2>\n<p>Using Google Ads has several advantages, among them:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Reach: companies can reach potential customers both locally and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Profitability: companies only pay when users click on their ads, so they can control their budget.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Flexibility: companies can choose the type of campaign that best suits their needs whether it is a search, display, video or shopping ad campaign.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Measurability &#8211; companies can track the results of their campaigns and see how many users have clicked on their ads<\/p>\n<h3>And the disadvantages?<\/h3>\n<p>There are also some disadvantages to using Google Ads, such as:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Time-consuming: companies need to invest time in the creation and management of their campaigns<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Learning curve: there is a small learning curve in terms of understanding how Google Advertising works and how to create effective campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Competition: companies will compete with other companies for advertising space, so it is important to ensure that your campaigns are well targeted and relevant to your potential customers.<\/p>\n<h2>Paid Media 360 Agency<\/h2>\n<p>Hiring a marketing agency specializing in Google Ads advertising has several advantages, including expertise, as an agency will have the knowledge and experience to create and manage effective campaigns.
